Enchanting Enchanted

24.11.07 Saturday... Walt Disney Ever After

BB & I saw the movie trailer of Enchanted in July and since then, we have been waiting for a long long time for this movie! The trailer was simply so cute that make us went gaga for days :P

Coincidentally, my company was selling us movie tickets at a cheap steal early this week. Guess what? I only paid $11.00 for 2 weekend movie tickets to watch Enchanted! ;D super duper happy! Even if they aren't selling it any cheaper, BB & I would still have caught the movie over this weekend.

Was down with a really strong flu virus on Thursday and hence I went on MC yesterday and whipped up a spaghetti dinner for ourselves. We rented the dvd 'License to Wed' which happens to be a really nice show and we enjoyed it very much.

The flu bug did dampen my spirit by a little and especially when the weather was so horrible plus the really bumpy ride on bus 190 to town. Worst of all, the flu seems to have aggravated after some antibiotics.. pray hard I will get well soon else will suffer when the new work week comes.

Nonetheless, with a good companion and a wonderful movie, things always turn out to be fun ;)

BB & I were munching on a pack of 'xiao man tou' aka those honey biscuits while laughing our lungs out upon seeing all those urban pests crawling their way into a city flat to help out the lovely Princess with some household chores.

And also.... I love her dresses! OMG... I know they are all made from curtains but they are certainly gorgeous!

The one which I really like is the turquoise dress which has a flattering empire cut design with puff sleeves. The flower prints & ribbon are so sweet looking!

Some still pictures from the Walt Disney movie...

Perhaps, I should get myself a dress like this but hopefully it wouldn't turn out to look like some PJs... haha :P

Anyway anyhow... it's so far the 2nd month into my job & today marks the 2nd payday! :P

Time always passes by quickly... At times, really met up with v v v v v v super RUDE people and it spoils your entire day but I guess at least I'm fortunate that things are not mundane and this is a good learning ground for me before I move on to something more exciting :)

Till the time comes, there's so many big plans ahead and I guess it'll really be an exciting year for BB & I :)

Exactly a month away to Christmas! Jingle bells, ginger breadman, X'mas tree, pressie, dinners, gatherings & can take leaves from work!!

Rest Rest & more rest... flu bug please go away asap!

Monday in Breeze

Purple Purple Purple!

19.11.07 Monday... Color me Purple!

Lately, there has been a surge in PURPLE in my dictionary...

First it's the Taiwanese idol drama Corner With Love starring Barbie & Show with this musician who loves purple roses in remembrance of his deceased sister.

Then, just so yesterday.. BB made a huge purchase of a particular something which is in a dark shade of purple.

Purple... not my favorite color but I do like lavender. How Ironic ?!

I dislike purple being that it reminds me of the super gross looking Teletubbies & Bernie.

hmm.. Well.. I do like the nice shade of pastel purple roses above but I still prefer & love pink shades of roses.

Anyway anyhow...;D Last week as nonetheless like a madhouse preparing for JCI auditing & luckily we made it. Else, there's gonna be a really tense atmosphere lingering in the air for don't know till when and just imagine the consequences.

Some days last week I only get to go home at 6.30pm, there's also days where I left the office only at 8.30pm. Thanks to dearest honey who dotingly picked me up from work and thus it greatly reduce my reluctance to take a train home alone at such late hours.

Weekend has been a really rejuvenating one being that I had an early rest on Friday evening given that BB has got his company dinner and I had a great shopping trip at Novena Square after work.

Saturday, we finally went to catch the movie HERO! It's a sneak preview and the show is really not bad. Witty and interesting plot. A pity, I still like the special TV episode which has been aired last year.

Then, we also had a super sinful fatty treat at BB's sister's home, stuffing down a whole lot of unhealthy hawker center's foods. It was a simple dinner celebration for BB's father's birthday at BB's sister's showroom flat alike apartment.

And for the whole of Sunday, I stayed home to be a coach potato to catch up on some dramas from youtube! Super happy & relaxed ;D

So off course, Monday has been a breeze with a well rested wkend and also having my assistant back at work :)

Today met 2 person in the clinic... 1 of which is my secondary school's principle and another one is Edmund Chen. This is a good place to catch glimpse of people from all walks of life ;D

Hopefully the week would turn lighter and less of a madhouse! Can't wait for the wkend to come by :P

Back With Sweet Bake!

My Sweet Bakes!

11.11.07 Sunday... Sweet Bakes & Bridal stuff

BAD NEWS! BB is sleeping around with another GUY!

SAD NEWS! I'm alone... on a Saturday night.

GOOD NEWS! they are not gays! haha:P

Keke, let me explain myself! *geez*

BB's best friend is getting married today and according to the geomancer which the couple consulted, they need a virgin BOY to sleep on the wedding bed on the day when they 'set-the-bed' (which happens to be the day before their actual wedding).

So BB, who was one of the best man, makes the closest fits to the criteria and he was invited to sleep together with this best friend of his on their brand new BED!

OOMMMGGGG..... why this kind of tradition??

If I were the bride, I would be dead jealous since it is my bed and yet I'm not the first one to sleep on it with the groom. By the way, I would definitely throw this kind of senseless tradition out of the window.. hah!

At most, I can just accommodate my little nieces and nephews to jump a little on the bed and that's all... I just can imagine another guy sleeping on my NEW BED!

Anyways... anyhows... the main concern to me is that I'm alone at home on a happening Saturday night! :P hee.

So... in order to kill some time, baking instantly came to my mind!;D I started flipping through some recipes and finally found something that uses GREEN APPLES.

For your little information... one of the advantages working in health care group is that there is always free supplies of fruits on 'healthy living day'! At the institution I'm working for, it happens on every Wednesday & Friday of the week and I get a variety of fruits ranging from apples to banana and pears.

Last Friday happens to be green apples day and since my assistant was not around, I lugged the 2 little green apples back home and stored in my fridge.

And since green apples doesn't taste too good on its own, had to made some stuff out of it.

So VIOLA! *Apple & Cinnamon Scones!* ;D

This time round, I decided to include a step by step working process! Trying to make good use out of my little N73 phone!

Making of the Scone-nies!

1. Sift 2 cups of self-rising flour into a big fat mixing bowl

2. Viola! All sifted and in very fine particles!

3. Throw in 30grams of SCS fatty butter, cut in small cubes. Rub in the flour!

4. Stir in some sugar, grinned apples and cinnamon! Start mixing....

5. All well mixed using a fork :)

6. The messy process! Pouring in the egg & milk!

7. Now a 'well' is formed...

8. After some thorough mix.. here's the wet and light fluffy dough!

9. The 'done-ed' doughs all shaped into scones... ready to send for baking!

10. YEAH!!! here's the Apple & Cinnamon Scones :) Well done!

The smell of cinnamon lingers in the kitchen during baking and it's so nice!... yum yum!

And the taste of it! So YUMMY!! haha :P Finally my scones have the texture of bread *super happy*

So there goes my little Saturday night. Alone but having fun in the kitchen ;D Next time in my house, I want a island designed table top with microwave and oven just behind so that I have a neater and larger space to work with! haha ;D

Keke... that goes with my little happy baking.

Sunday was a bridal shopping day with 3rd sis! Her wedding date has been set to be on 30.12.07 and so the two of them are having a mad rush to do whatever they can to prepare for their big day :)

BB is off for wedding too... suddenly wedding plans seems to be the most IN thing in my dictionary. Having the urge to follow everyone else... :P

Probably not too soon but we have plans for a spring honeymoon so probably that's in another year's time ;D

For now! Christmas Christmas Christmas and Jingle Bells!... Dreaming of a white Christmas.

After traveling for a whole day... time to catch some rest. Nights all! Pray that I will finally see some peace at the madhouse this week!

Bad Week + Good Foods

Finally another week...

10.11.07 Saturday... Sheer Tiredness

This week has been far most the hell of all times.

It was such a madhouse at work that I got too overwhelmed and broke down and cried just yesterday. Felt like such a baby but I was sheer worn out by the time of the day. Was having a gastric pain and it was the 8th hour after working none stop since 7.30am as I was alone.

MADHOUSE... really MAD. Fuming MAD patients who screamed a hell out of me & everyone from the whole center just kept calling me for this and that while I still need to attend to patients upfront for registration.

Never in my life that I felt so helpless.

Well... that broke down was a good one. Everyone came around to check on my clinic and took a look at me and my 3 other pathetic staff who were severely overworked.

Never had I ever seen any institution receiving crowds as mad as this -no place to sit, waited >30mins for billing, people jammed at the registration counter and people can't enter from outside the glass door due to crowding.

Not a least bit exaggerating.

I worked from 7.30am to 7.00pm surviving on only 300ml of water. Totally burnt out.

Earlier in the week, I had to fork out a WHOPPING $190 for the missing $ from the safe. I was giving everyone such a stale face that day that everyone believed I was having some sort of PMS.

Just imagine... $190 can buy so much things! especially with upcoming weddings to attend etc.

I didn't sleep well the night before this incident... Some how my green tourmaline was giving me a hard time that night and I feel something is amiss. How true... I lost $190!

There after... the week just got from bad to worst.

For a turn on Friday, some strange things happened and the missing $ suddenly reappeared together with my $190 when I was recounting the safe with my superior.

My intuition told me that someone must have tempered with it and it just feel so uneasy when you know the person maybe just someone working very closely with you. I will make sure this will be a misery solved... just how dangerous is that.

But I ain't going to just give up like this, working at a madhouse has its advantages too! ;D I shall be determine and press on!

Suddenly a reflection... BB is working in a real madhouse but why is he like working more leisurely?? haha.

Well well well... lucky not all is bad:)

Mum and the girls have been rather concern for me and so like BB who have been showering love too.

Wednesday evening, I decided to meet BB for dinner since Thursday is a holiday! Usually after a super shagged day, good food always make the day :P

Once again, we decided to drop by Central Mall for Coffee Club's Garlic Prawn Pasta! *chuckles* so unimaginative right?

Red Cardigan + fringe getting a little long + frizzle static hair

The superlicious prawns !

Close Up View - the big fat juicy prawn!

Baked cheese chicken bolognese!

Complimentary ice cream Mud Pie :)

Super satisfying! Super full too... hee.

So full that we want to walk to Liang Court's Kinokuniya for some magazine browsing session and do some stationary shopping! :)

The crazy madhouse Friday didn't detest me and BB from pampering ourselves to yet another good meal. After all, I have fasted for 14 hours and had some giddy spell when I stepped out of the office building.

Then... Manhattan Fish Market's grilled fish just flew into my mind.

BB is such a sweetie too! He waited for me for more than 1.5hrs and didn't complain a single bit though he practically had nothing to do in NSC.

Unimagative-ly, we just head straight to Central Mall's MFM since the outlet at Plaza Singapura should be quite full and most likely there will be no parking lots too.

We were offered the outdoor alfresco dinning and it was awesome:) Lucky us, we had our table right next to the glass parapet of the balcony.

Manhattan Daily Grilled served with garlic (chicken) rice

Seafood platter with chips and rice!

The view from the balcony

BB (signing bill) against the backdrop of Clark Quay

There marks my little Friday evening!

I was simply too tired to do anything after dinner and we just head home straight while BB was chatting with sis & brother in-law (very soon to be) till 12 midnight! He had to send himself home as it was such a knock-out day for me :P

What a week. Weekend shall be rest and more rest!

Finally Updating! :)

My Big Twirl Swirl

03.10.07 Saturday... Finally Updating!

Dear friends, I'm finally updating after such a long while;D

Can't imagine what kind of rat race I'm running....

Persistent short of staff (due to MC or leaves), more doctors to take care of (due to newly added consultation room), endless ceasing crowds (there's lots of people facing all sorts of skin problems) and super inpatient &/ demanding patients!

For first 3 days of the week, I was leaving home at 6.20am and reaching home only at 8.00pm. Was really tired and feeling anguish. Thoughts of leaving this place even surface as I was so so so tired and I was in a super irritable mood.

Fortunately, things got better with an extra pair of hands around :) Managed to got home or leave work early the past two days.

Btw, remember the GREEN TOURMALINE I have been talking about these while? geez*

I'VE BOUGHT IT! *yeah* (for $280) and WEARING IT EVERYDAY! ;D

Keke... U must be wondering what it is for, right?

According to the aura picture, which I took again on the day I bought the crystal, the interpretor explained that I'm constantly feeling fatigue as the aura picture shows that I have always been leaking energies to the surrounding (people or environmental factors).

So, the Green Tourmaline is supposed to help in retaining energy/ wealth/ life chance leakages so that I don't feel overly drained from meeting demands from a lot a lot of people and it helps in preventing chance leakages. It also helps in stabilizing one's career path and possess the ability to calm.

Today marks the 7th day of wear! My little GREEN TOURMALINE works! I'm really feeling the difference ;D

*very happy*

At least at the end of the day, the first thing in my mind when I reach home is to have my dinner then watch TV / read the newspaper and not sleep! :P And for the first time yesterday, I did not sleep on BB's car during the ride home!

Digressing.... Btw, we had a sinful MacDonald dinner yesterday at the Geylang drive-through branch. My first time going there and we brought along BB's company laptop to surf net there ;D Oh yah, their ice latte is quite nice! hee ;D I like! & We just chilled there for 3 hours!

Coming back... That goes to show my 'battery meter' still have some bars left and not totally emptied after a long day of work :)

Last week, BB & I also had a sinful 3-course pasta meal from Creations Cafe on Friday evening & Kuishinbo buffet dinner on Saturday evening! *hee* very satisfying!

Creations Cafe is a super worthy place to go for dinner! For just $15.20!!! You will get a full 3 course meal : soup of the day + drink of your choice + pasta of your choice + brownie dessert!!! For your information, it is located at Shaw Building, 1st level (in between Suntec & Parco Bugis).

First... The Carrot Soup! Yummy, not a single slip went to waste ;D

Second... BB's Superlicious Crab Pasta!!!

& also My little Seafood Pasta...

Finally! the sweetie;D Warm brownie & a nice scoop of vanilla topped with almonds!

Looking very happily tired after a long week for getting to eat PASTA!

Kuishinbo Family Buffet! After a hard earned month, BB demanded that I should treat him! haha... since I have been feeding on him for 3 years and finally THE DAY has come for me to treat him a meal too;D

Since I have been thinking of the paper steamboat lately and the last time we went there was in January, I decided giving my treat there!

BB knows what he's in for! The most expensive hairy crab ;D

This is the no. XXX plate of hairy crabs...

Not forgetting the sweeties! Desserts time;D

For the rest of the time, we were too busy indulging and staffing ourselves with food so we only had these few pictures taken at the end of the buffet session! hee :P

& plus... I was stuff with food when I went to grandma house on Sunday!

So it was a weekend of simply EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT :P

This weekend, I will need to do some shoes shopping and getting some working wear! ;D Shopping Shopping!

Hope you have a nice weekend too! Shall update as frequently as possible :)
