Happy Happy!

Happy Happy!

25.10.07 Thursday... OH i'm so HAPPY!

This week has been such a breeze ;D Good things just follow one after another... Can't believe how lucky I'm with things to look forward every single day.

Off course, the best thing to look forward today is none other than Pay Day!

Also, I had to escort this VIP who came to my workplace in the morning for a consultation. She was supposed to be escorted by the Corps Comm girls but they had to go for a press conference so the job just landed on me.

I have seen her so many times on TV and she seems like a really nice friendly lady which turns out to be true:) Lucky me.. If it's some other VIP, I think I would be really nervous and probably having some sort of 'stage fright'.

Then, in the afternoon when I have got to type a report for my boss.. expect the most unexpected.

One of the female consultant who is known for her really nasty mood swings came by my room to drop me a bar of Hershey's Rich Dark Chocolate Bar! *faint*

She's so sweet.. hee:P too sweet to be true! (slap myself.. *pain* it's real! geez)

This is the second time this week that she has showered love to us girls. Earlier in the week she gave me and my assistant a travel size trial pack from this dermatological brand called QV.

Actually, I haven't stepped on her tails so lucky me! :P Let this maintain like this!

....

After banging into Yvonne.. guess who I met this wk??

It's dear Eileen! (for your info, she's my dancing Khaki whom I got to know thru Salsa class).

The most coincidental things happened on Wednesday evening. I was just thinking about her on my way home and so I took the time to sms her and landed up, I met her in the same train cabin when she took the train back home from Woodlands even before she had the time to reply my sms!

We are living in a red dot after all :)

I also bought a nice little cocktail dress from SENSE in a pretty shade of coral pink! *delighted*

Let's see... Oh yah!
Recently, there has been so much news on SIA A380... makes me really feel like flying on this revolutionary air plane! hee. Wait till I earn enough bucks! :P

Finally.... The work week is coming to an END! WEEKEND!

YEAH! Going for a feast this weekend with BB to the place we have been wanting to go:)

Happy Happy! TGIF. Enjoy the weekend too!

Coming to a month

Slightly Confused, Slightly Lost

22.10.07 Monday... The 22nd Day.

It's been close to a month since I started on this new journey. Been quite drained from all the new routine and the hectic working environment and thus the absent in updating this little space here.

Still learning and yet a lot more to learn... was feeling so depressed over the whole of last week for things that happened at work and learning to cope with different situations.

For a moment, I was thinking if I have stepped into an incompatible environment and thoughts of leaving the pack actually surfaced in mid-week. Well, let's give myself more time to get a feel of all the things before I make such a rush decision. Shall test my limits and determination for now:)

Anyway anyhow... Weekend is still the sweetest bliss being in the lovely companionship of family, friends & my dearest BB!

Friday evening was an unwind and chilled out dinner at Coffee Club Express with BB! Remember the Garlic Prawn Pasta I mention in some earlier post? It was so luring that BB & I headed to Central Mall right after work to savor the succulent dish;D

The river picturesque from where we sat...

A little shot of Us while anticipating the arrival of our FOOD!

Introducing.... the famous Garlic Prawn Pasta!

Apart from Garlic Prawn Pasta, we also ordered for Baked Chicken Bolognese which I absolutely love it *yummy-licious*! I have always been wanting to try my favorite tomato based pasta with a baked cheese combination. It's a dream come true!

Just simple irresistibly good!

A nice satisfying meal to make up for all the working blues!

BB was still craving for some sugar rush after dinner and we decided to go visit a long lost friend -Andersen's Ice Cream for their really nice sticky-rich ice cream sundae. Took us some time in the Marina Square to find a parking lot at 8.45pm but fortunately, we were so lucky to find a lot while competing with at least other 20 drivers who were also looking for a parking space.

*Happily*... Sundae!

A little disappointment with the quality of their ice-cream as it doesn't seem to be as sticky-rich than in the past despite a sharp height in price, lucky there's discount for Safra card and also the bill does not incur any service charge.

Lastly... the both of us finally bang into YVONNE!!

It's been so so so long time ago since the both of us seen her. It's been close to 3.5yrs ago since our Yunnan trip. Time always flies... she was my buddy during the trip and was BB's supposing dance partner for the cultural performance.

BB has always been wanting to solve the puzzle of why the both of us I became each other's dance partner in Yunnan and he took the chance to ask her.

Unfortunately, Yvonne didn't know the answer too. Fortunately, it'll always be a beauty mystery *laughs*

A little memorable picture that Yvonne took for us during the finale of cultural nite performance;D The first mark of our little spark which lasted all the way till now and we are looking forward to a new phrase soon!

That marks the end of a little Friday and once again, I fell asleep on the journey back home :)

Was so happy to be playing with my 15 month old nephew on Saturday afternoon despite feeling really tired from the scary facial experience at IMM in the early morning.

He finally knows how to greet us 'ah-yee'! hee :) It was so hilarious seeing him playing around with my Johnson and Johnson's baby moisturizer which he decided to get a little taste of it a while later. His expression upon tasting the moisturizer was simply so funny.. haha:P

Talking about my facial experience... the kind of products they use is a little too scary for me.

At some point in time, I felt that my face is burning from the clay mask and no one was there to attend to me. Then, there is also painful discomfort around my eye areas from their eye serums which the beauty consultant claims that it serves as blood circulation.

Despite the super nice ambiance in the treatment room, all other factors deter me from signing any form of future appointments with them and I was crossing my fingers when she asked if I was a little too shock from their 'weird' products.

Saturday night was spent celebrating the Octobers babies from the IMH volunteering group! It's so nice to get to see everyone and also meeting those younger batch of volunteers whom also had their little informal inauguration ceremony in the KTV room we went.

Not much of singing but we have such a great laughters from those games played:) Really a enjoyable one especially to be able to meet up with Wenru, one of my dearest girl friend in the group after so long.

Sunday was practically spent sleeping and catching up on Bleach and Romantic Princess with BB and there gone my little precious weekend!

Brand new week... Braving the storm! Gambatte ;D

Can't wait for pay day and Friday! haha:P

It'll be a nice rainy night to sleep! Nitez all*

Jubilant Spread!

The Jubilant Spread!

15.10.2007 Monday... My Belated Hamper ;D

Finally after sooooo long (more than a month), I demanded for the belated birthday prezzie from my bestest jiemei to be delivered to me over Sunday dinner.

My requested birthday prezzie was a Hello Panda hamper since my dearest friend is working in none other, the famous Hello Panda factory in Boon Lay.. *wink* and since then, I've been bugging her with all those Yan Yan & Hello Panda requests since they are my favorite foods!

Anyway anyhow... I was in a sheer bewilderment when I receive the hamper from her as it's really BIG! And off course, I was super duper elated to know that I can have all these munchies for lunch at work:P

We had our dinner a Sakae Sushi and chatted quite a bit and I was really happy that she has finally see some light recently and getting closer to know herself much better after months of emotional struggles in different aspects of her life:)

At this present moment, I just hope that she will receive a piece of good news soon! ;D

Here's some pictures to share my great joys with you!

The big hamper which Linnet claims that it looks really oddly shaped...

A long love letter from her to me which even extends to the side ;D

A side view from the tall unwrapped parcel.. WOW!

Look! It's pilling like a mountain!!! I'm melting in sweetness *hee*

What a variety! A grand total of 19 assorted Meiji products ;D

I sure at this instant, you must be dying to know what are the individual comfort foods my bestest jiemei got for me! hee ;D There you go...

First, the super atas version of Pocky Pocky we usually eat and this one here is called Fran:) Here's in 4 different assorted favours! All looking super delicious to me!!

Second, a variety of Hello Panda's affiliations which consist of cream coated mushrooms, acorns, cream filled pucca's fish, Apollo & Chelsea chocolates & gummies!

Third and the last, some chocolate biscotti, wafer biscuits & some assorted cream munches! These collection here is one of those least seen in the market and I super delightful to be able to taste them!

*Delightfully MELTED in Sweetest*

I will take my time to savor each and every pack of them soon;D Off course, I would share it.. hee :P Yummy!!!

Thanks again my dearest Linnet!

It's definitely a memorable birthday gift which I would always remember the sweetest of it all!

On a Happier Note

Like a Little Baby

14.10.07 Sunday... Weekend Unwind

The week has passed so fast especially the good times over the weekends. I think I will definitely get my Monday Blues tomorrow when all the hectic times come again.

Thursday's emo was a short-lived one and I was more than happy to see my assistant back in the office and there's an extra pairs of hands to cope with the overwhelming dynamics playing in the clinics that are under our care.

I guessed, she was quite happily surprise to see my 'transformation' just over a period of 3 busiest days. Her absence has pushed me to learn at an accelerated pace and juggling with the demands from at least 5 persons at any moment.

Anyway anyhow... I had a really really pleasant evening with BB on Friday:)

He bought me a very nice Hello Kitty Cup from a Sanrio shop in Novena Square and it's so pretty! I've seen it some time ago and I thought this design for 2007 is really pretty since Kitty is in a nice pastel color and she is carrying her little bear. This is one of the most traditional designs of Kitty which I really love ;D

Had a satisfying meal from the Indonesia BBQ stall at the PS foodcourt and the evening ended with some shopping at Diaso, Made With Love, Carrefour and Kinokuniya.

The best steals were nonetheless from DAISO! Did I even need to tell you further? The things there are selling at a flat rate of $2 per item and it's super worth it for some;D

I got myself a very nice Hello Kitty hand-held mirror, something like Anne-Sui's signature mirror but in a nice shade of pink. Also gotten a cutting mat and 2 plastic zipper holders in B5 & A6 sizes (Popular bookstore sells them at quite ex)!

Was so tired from a whole week that I only woke up at 10am on Saturday morning to have breakfast and went back to sleep there after till 2pm:P Had to do some personal admin before rushing down to Seng Kang to meet BB for his 4 year old cousin's birthday BBQ at Down Town East chalet.

Despite having more than 10 hrs of sleep, I was still tired... And I have been stuffing myself with lots of food too:) Many people seem to have said that I seem to have slimed down lately and probably that is because of the adjustment to a new routine.

Feel like a baby over the weekend... Sleep Eat Sleep Eat PLAY!

Talking about babies, there are 3 lovely girls in BB's extended family. Two of them are BB's cousins and the other is BB's niece. Coincidentally, the latter shares the same birth date as BB and basically, she was somehow or rather saved by BB from the fate of being aborted when she was just 2 month old in her mother's womb.

They are so adorable!! ;D Spent most of the time in the chalet playing with these babies while BB was giving guidance to his cousins who were playing Halo 3.

BB's baby cousin is used to sleeping in those suspending cot aka Sarong and she relies on it heavily. In the end, the family had no choice but to hang her sarong in the bathroom in order to get her to sleep. Quite an interesting scene to see a baby sleeping in the bathroom.. haha :P

Then, it's already Sunday!!

I slept till 10am and was quite surprised to see some relatives at my place 'early' in the morning. At that instance, I suddenly recalled that it was my Grandfather's death anniversary. Subsequently, the house was full of activities and I had my brunch.

Now... More personal admin, ironing clothes etc.. Got to go...

That's the end of my really short weekend. Hope you have enjoyed yours too:)

Supressing the demon

At the Edge

11.10.07 Thursday... Supressed

Feeling so mentally tired these days with the brand new routine of waking up at 5.30am, leaving for work at 6.30am and reaching home only at 7.30pm or even later, at 8pm.

Sigh... I just feel like personal time is so precious to me now especially the weekends where there's time to rest and unwind. Time at home now is so limited and I practically leave home the earliest while reaching home the last.

It's been really depressing to know that you will be expecting an empty weekend while the other party has got a full load of activities on hand :(

What an irony. Wanted rest yet do not want a empty weekend. Net, now I'm in your shoes.

Hectic work schedule without my assistant for the past 3 days has really pushed me to my edge. Information overload and workload exceeding expectation, my stress level and tension is up high.

It's all too overwhelming I guess. Can someone cheer me up?

I'm having such a bad emo... Perhaps a good night sleep works best.

Happy Weekend ;D

The Great Weekend Escapism!

06.10.07 Saturday... First Weekend!

As promised, my little update on a weekend noon time;D

This week passed by so fast for me and I do really enjoy myself sitting at the front counter to help out with registration and trying to remember all our doctors names.

I was as blur as a sotong yesterday:P Kept misplacing my barangs barangs (handphone, file & logo badge) all around the office and thus had to run all over the building on my heels to find them.

Hmmm... Probably, that's the effect of having an unexpected visit from *ahem*... a 'close relative' in the morning. Luckily I knew she's coming and had made preparation else I wouldn't know how to survive the day:P Going to stock up supplies in my super spacious but un-strategic located locker.

So far so good.. all those staff are still quite okay and I'm feeling quite comfortable around them :) Next will be all those problematic docs. But it's okay... until I'm better trained and ready to go solo, will not have to interact so closely with those super air-headed ones.

Also, finally found a lunching khaki! ;D

She's like me, just fresh from school and been here for about 1 month. She's younger, just 20 this year and thus both of us can communicate quite well since all the rest are from the 70s or even older.

At least now, both of us can stick together and will not feel so intimidated by all those older ones and we won't feel so bored having to have lunch alone:)

Lastly... finally... I feel adjusted to the early hours!;D

Waking up at 5.30am proves to have helped my poor eyes to get rid of those extra bags below them and I'm feeling more refreshed too. Perhaps the morning walk to office did help a little too as well.

The very first official working life weekend! BB was pretty excited to see me 'evolving from a schooling girl to a working lady' (quoted) and thus came to pick me up at my workplace after a long work week :) Very sweet of him...

Digressing a little...
Talking about evolving, my dear friend has written a little about us and our friendship... the most exciting part is the old photos from secondary school! I nearly fell off my chair when I see my old self. U can check it out here!

Back....

Surprisingly, it only took a mere 25mins to come here from his workplace in Hougang! Very near and I can expect more rides home when I got to work till late hours in the night for evening clinics.

Straight after work, had to go down to Adecco in Orchard to return the SK-II uniform before heading down to Bodyshop's sale at Suntec City.

After a $13 bargain buy, which I managed to get a compact mirror, seaweed cleanser & 5 traveling bottles of assorted facial care products from the Vitamin E & Aloe Vera series, we went for a sinful dinner at Swiss Culture!

Swiss Culture is located along the stretch of international food selections at the third floor of Suntec City, along the one where Kushinbo Japanese buffet is.

Was so hungry by then and we ordered 2 mains and 1 dessert! Basically, the rule of the thumb is to picked those with chef recommendations or some 'award-winning' claims.

Our orders include a mushroom cheese pasta topped with seafood, a swiss pork sausage with rosti topped with salad and a chocolate fondue!

Cheesy Mushroom Seafood Pasta

The cheese pasta tasted quite ok (I'm not a cheese fan) and I think it's quite normal except that the sauce has a milky texture and towards the end, I felt it was a little too cheesy for me.

Nonetheless... the seafood toppings which we added for $2 was so worth it! We had 2 mussels, 3 super succulent fresh prawns and 5 pieces of squid. Perhaps, next time should just get their seafood pasta in tomato sauce! :)

Just to digress a little....
All of you must go try the Garlic Prawn Pasta from the Coffee Club Express!!!! The prawns are simply so fresh and firm and the $ is super worth it!! Me and BB were thinking about it every since two weeks ago when we ate it with Martin and Eileen at the Central Mall's branch.

Swiss Pork Sausage, Rosti & Garden Salad

Nothing much to compliment for this dish as I think all sausages are equally salty and while rosti, to me, taste the same everywhere... hee :P

Ultimate Chocolate Fondue!

Chocolate Fondue!... yum yum yummmyyyy!!!! This is the first time we shared a fondue together, usually we would prefer ice-cream to chocolate but perhaps it's my relative *ahem* that I crave for chocolates and Andersen's ice-cream so much ;D

This one here from Swiss Culture at Suntec City cost us $14.90 which comes with quite a big plate of apples, bananas, marshmallows & strawberries.

The chocolate from this place is heavenly!!!

We were practically drinking the chocolate from the pot of liquefied rich dark chocolate and my stomach never feels full throughout this endless sinful treat to the large plate of fruits dipped in thick chocolate.

What I really like about this is its not-too-sweet factor and also the rich and thick consistency which surprisingly is quite runny and unlike those overly heavy or easily dried up ones. Basically, the watery texture is not compromised of the richness of the chocolate and I simply love it!

It has a 5/5 stars rating from me.. hee ;D and btw, the two of us finished the pot of chocolate and we were super sinfully satisfied customers!

After the sinfully treat and a nice dinner place where we had a nice chat, we had to walk back to Marina Square where we parked the car.

Along the way, we passed by our favorite Precious Thots shop... this figurine caught our eyes!

You Are My Dream Come True

Soooo sweet!! They are having a wedding dance and I really really love the way this pair of figurine looked into each other's eyes. The 2 little birdies were super kawaii too!

BB likes things that come in pair and he has a strict feng-shui policy of buying things in pairs and thus he likes this figurine too!

Another figurine which I absolutely love...

Happily Ever After

This would make a really nice wedding gift... haha :P

Been eying on this since 1.5 years ago. Coincidentally, both these figurines were being displayed side by side in the display window and I was imaging them being displayed in our house in the near future.. oh-so-lovely!

Last destination... the flower shop of the Marina Mandarin Hotel has got such beautiful luxurious roses!!! Now I know where to get my dream garden wedding flowers.. sure to cost a bomb but they are so gorgeous!!

On the way home, BB was giving me a little reiki to ease the stomach cramp and I just fell asleep on his car. This is so far, the second time I slept on the journey back home while he drives... it has been a tiring week indeed.. haha.

That's my little friday. Today, I'm just lazing back at home to catch up some sleep and also drama from youtube:)

Busy Adapting

..On a New Journey..
embracing the storm and emerge under the lovely sunshine

02.10.07 Tuesday... Busy Learning from Scratch

Haven't been updating as I'm simple too overwhelmed by the new routine which forces me to wake up at 6am on the first day of work and subsequently at 5.30am as I have to be at my workplace, located in Novena, by 7.40am?

For your information, due to the flexibility of the arts timetable, I've been in the luxury of waking up at 9am during the last year of my studies and not to forgot all these 5 months since the construction downstairs only starts at 8.15am and only getting very noisy from 9am onwards:P

Now it's payback time... a good training ground for me to learn 'makeup EXPRESS' which can save me some time for the important beauty sleep and rest needed.

And thus, I'll be disappearing from all those late nights MSN and turning into my sweet comfy bed between 10-10.30pm. Perhaps, that will finally do good to my ever-so-dark dark circles;D

Work wise... Learning Learning and more Learning to come! There'll be two months of training before turning full-fledge and starting doing more chim stuff. Meanwhile, I'm understudying my colleagues so to be able to know all the ground work before moving on to the management level of my job.

Also... most of the Docs at my work places all seem be rather idiosyncratic and are very peculiar on certain things. To me, that is purely just an air of arrogance from this handful of specialists.

No idea why they are doing that to my team but if they are unhappy, they can jolly well leave the place and go to other more well paid institutions (but I'm afraid there's none which is Government related except ours) :P

Anyways.... there's so much people and names I have to remember and not to forgot, that is on top of what I need to learn. Basically, my work place is not really that big but nonetheless it's not small too. Perhaps it will take 2 months to fully remember all :)

Today, I have finally gotten all the necessary identification status, access to programs etc and this making things easier for everyone to remember my name since we are all going to work together in a team.

They were even suggesting to get me a Christian name yesterday which I strongly disagree to (though I didn't tell them straight in their face).

Reasons being...

1. Most likely, I would not be responding to a foreign name

2. I like the name my parents give me

3. I'm not a Christian and I don't need an English name (I'm not against Christianity but I really don't see my need for other names except Buddhist and maybe French, German & Spanish names )

4. I've got a Buddhist name called MUDITA (unless they want to make their brain swell even bigger since it's harder to remember)

5. I'm not just another person whom you can help me find a name (my parents did their job 22 yrs ago) as I do not like to be called other sorts of names

6. It is only courteous to respect what one likes to be addressed & it's stated on our name tags!

7. My name is perhaps the most easily remembered name (except to other ethnic groups)

8. If can't pronounce, just called the last syllabus (i'm sure it is not a problem at all)

So... I'm more than happy to receive my NAME TAG!!!

Finally everyone can just see my tag and just simply call me by what I prefer and soon or later, they will remember :)

... Lastly I'm both glad and anguish by the dress code difference between me and my colleagues as it's so prominent to be spotted by patients (staff too but it's ok) who will make all sorts of funny and sarcastic comments at your disposal.

*SLAP THEM* Feel like telling them...

"Hello, U think I'm your slave ar? Am only here to assist you else you can go slowly itch to death. Please show some basic courtesy to people around you even if it's only a brief encounter. It's a pity your parents didn't inculcate such important values to you since a young age..."

Lastly, do not do things which you do not like others do to you! What comes around goes around! Becarful arh... *wicked smile*

Anyway, I doubt I would be bothered to talk more to them too since it's a total waste of my precious breath and health as I strive to stay happy.

Oh.. just realised that I have got a really hunted building beside my workplace and it really sends shiver and goosebumps down my spine and even knees! Errie place, will not walk pass it again and I'll practice jay-walking instead.

*Yawnz*... 1 more hr for me to do other stuff before it's sleeping time! Don't even have time for newspapers yet.. Now I understand why BB doesn't read so much but I think I'm worst then he is since my working hours are super long! :(

I'll be through and over all these soon! Hope to gather some sweet bearing fruits all the end of all these ;D

Updating soon, perhaps weekend.

Arrrgggghhhh! Plagued by irritating tuitee's parents who insisted I must finish my course of tuition till end of her exams. Stupid. Anyways, I've only seen her 9 times in the past 2mths which is v v v little!

Just 4 more times and I'm done. Never want to teach tuition again, enough is enough.
