Our little day

The Corduroy Date

27.09.07 Thursday... Lazy Day Out.

To commence the end of my infinite holiday, BB and I decided to visit Corduroy Cafe on a weekday afternoon. Coincidentally, the last time we were there was also to celebrate the end to his month long self-declared holiday when he was just about to go into his present job in April.

I was near famished at 3.30pm on a lazy afternoon without lunch. After visiting Toy'R'Us, we hurried to the cafe and found ourselves some nice comfy seats.

Here's what we ordered: Blueberry Milkshake, Chocolate Cream Éclair, Strawberry Macaron, Cinnamon Bun.

Taking some shots before starting the tea session proper....

The 50 cents macaron didn't turn out to be what I expected eventhough this is my first time tasting this famous French delicacy. Perhaps those authentic ones will taste better since at most places, a small mini one can easily fetch up to a whopping $3!

By the way, I look drowsy and sick, don't I? That's the aftermath of a severe throat infection :( Still in recovery mood... seems like the antibiotics are sending me some sleepy spells.

Was having such blocked nose and sleepy bug in me that I can't taste the cinnamon bun properly... actually BB also says that it only tasted nutty. Makes me wonder why it's a cinnamon bun in the first place?...

Anyway, I was too hungry to be overly bothered with the taste and thus swiftly gobbled down the whole piece despite it tasting not really up to standard.

Chocolate Éclair! BB's favourite:) Cost us a whopping $6 but it was the most satisfying threat among all the rest. After all, it's 3 times the normal size that Beard-Papa sells and I suppose it is still a reasonable price to pay?

The purplish looking Blueberry Milkshake just taste like Yakult in grape flavor and so we though it was just okay and a little pricey.

While the food were really sub-standard, we were captivated by the ambiance of the cafe which has a sea view to the Sentosa Island and all those comfy sofas there.

To make the cost of our meal worthwhile, we stayed on to enjoy the ambiance of the cafe since there was so little crowd that we virtually had the ground level to ourselves.

Just as we were lazing around....
Finally something we thought could spice up the menu of Corduroy Cafe!
*evil smile*

Presenting to you!
*Sanrio's Strawberry Sugar Bunnies & Pink Lamb Donut*

Hope you have enjoyed my little 可爱8连拍:)

In case you are wondering, the sugar bunnies donut is actually a sticky tape dispenser from our favorite coin clots machines at Toy'R'Us and My Pink Lamb is the one that I have shown weeks ago:)

Along our shopping trip, realised that all the winter clothings are out on sale and that signals Christmas is soon around the corner *hurray!*

Getting into the season's look... I'm looking like a Christmas Tree! (Courtesy of Pull & Bear)

Going for a good nap after a long post:) Hope you have a nice weekend too!

Still down

The Flu Bug!

27.09.07 Thursday... May the BUG be gone soon

Into the fourth day of the endless torment by this weird bug that silently crawl into me when I visited Muar last weekend.

My nose is still as runny and my throat is still so painful when I wake up in the morning but fortunately, the fever has subsided:)

Despite sleeping near 9hrs every night, I still feel so tired from the illness and probably the build up fatigue from endless day to day traveling these few weeks.

Let me get well soon!
*yawn*

Been wanting to type about the little Muar trip but was too tired to do that and plus BB's computer seems like going to crash anytime soon which impeded him from uploading those pictures.

Apart from the search for working clothes and traveling around our little red dot despite being sick, I also started to watch this Taiwan idol drama titled 公主小妹 aka Romantic Princess :) Aiyo! such a nice show!! hee... I like 吴尊!

Count Down....
3 more days to work!

I wished I had a longer holiday:P
Get Well soon!

Going to quarantine this BUG!

Back from Muar!

Back from the super HOT Muar!

25.09.07 Tuesday.... Sick & Feverish

I felt like being cooked under the harsh weather in Muar. Have been down with a bad sore throat and fever since Sunday evening when we traveled back from BB's uncle's wedding lunch.

It's really a nice trip except the weather and there's so much I want to tell you but I'm feeling really giddy staring at the computer screen and thus I've got to go rest soon.

Will update here once I get all those pictures from BB who was the official photographer of the event and off course when I feel better to type;D

Hope to get well soon!

3 Days of Excitment

Transformation into a Beauty Consultant

17-19 Sept 2007... SK-II & Me

It has been quite an exhilarating experience working as a professional beauty consultant for cosmetics brands, especially one like SK-II which has an upmarket value attached to it.

For the short 5 days assignment at one of its counter in OG People's Park, we get to see so many different faces of the society and it's definitely an eye-opener for me :)

People ranging from all walks of life visited the counter to find all sorts of skincare solutions, in hope that this raving brand would provide miraculous effects as like what the top selling Facial Treatment Essence (aka Miracle Water or 神奇水) claims.

For the past 3 days, I saw...

a lot of china mistresses coming to our counter to 'ka' their ah peks of their CPF $,

dotting and sweet foreign hubbies buying products for their wife back home,

young china girls carrying LVs and spent $ like as if $1k is nothing,

hubby who swear and curse the products for being expensive,

hubbies who are very adventurous and wanting to try out our products,

tai-tai-s who are grade 10 VP just went for cosmetic lazer and looking like lobster but still come shopping,

ladies who have skin allergies insisted that our powder does not give good coverage when her skin needed most rest and not converage,

a friendly out-paitent from IMH who always come to OG to wave to all of us and bring us 4D & Toto result slips,

old security guards who are really oh-so-idiotic and the youngest among all styling his hair very nicely everyday,

super unfriendly cashiers who are always grumpy or only being nice to selective people,

pretty cosmetic counter ladies who are really friendly and talked about anything under the sun

large ceiling-floor glass panel just shattered under bright day light

and off course the list just go on and on...

So, the 8 hrs shift everyday is filled with endless interesting encounters and time passes fairly quickly too:)

I really enjoyed myself being a counter staff and even told everyone that time passes so much faster than teaching tuition. Dread the 2 X 1.5hrs lesson each week.

May consider doing this as my part-time job and give up on tuition but mum says I would feel dead tired after a draining week at week and working on the Sunday too. *contemplating*

But you know working at People's Park is so good as we get to eat a wide variety of food and the complex right next to OG is a mini shopping heaven! While the clothes there are not exactly very cheap but I was so darn lucky;D

I always like to go to a button shop at the third floor of PP Complex as they sell a wide variety of those craft/sewing materials.

On Tuesday dinner break, I had to shop around to help sis to look for her Olay Regenerist serum and thus chance upon that particular buttons shop which I made a small purchase before visiting the fashion shop next door.

The auntie in the fashion shop immediately recognize my SK-II outfit and asked if I knew this particular colleague which I did!;D

(Btw, there were three of us working together for the 3days, this is another girl, not BVP which I talked about earlier.)

So, the skirt which caught my attention and which I really want to buy after trying on got an immediately slash in price *super ultra happy* a cheap steal at $30 which was originally selling $42.

Back at work after dinner, I told that particular colleague about my encounter and only then she revealed that the button shop is owned by her father! What an coincidence!!!

Coincidentally, the same colleague has also previously worked in my upcoming workplace when she's a teen! She told me quite a bit on the culture of the workplace and I'm pretty excited on what my new job will hold as she says time passes very quickly there too;)

The world is so small after all! Just as I though we were complete strangers, we aren't that foreign to each other too.

Oh and one more thing! U know, OG staff and counter assistants working in OG are entitled to 20% storewide discount!!! I helped mum to buy her SK-II & Shiseido skincare products which all in all save her a whopping $70!!! Those girls were so nice, gave us a lot of samples too!

On Monday, dear linnet and Caiyun also came to drop by for makan with me which I was so happy since I need not eat dinner alone;D

Yesterday, Lihui also met me over dinner to pass me the lip balm and lip gloss from Majolica Majorca, a subsidiary cosmetic line of Shiseido which is not found in Singapore. She got her friend living in Japan to help us purchase these few products *nice* ;)

Just as I'm tying this entry, I went off to try out these products:D

Strangely, the lip balm smells like a type of leaves that my mum likes to add into the cooking of Hakka traditional dish called 雷茶. Luckily I'm already used to the smell of it plus it feels just right on the lips, not too sticky nor oily. It's sooooo nice when using both together!

Thanks girl for introducing it to me!;D

So, my 6 days with SK-II is a really fun and interesting one and oh btw, if you are wondering...

My 3 days working with her has been a breeze after I changed my opinion on her:) After all, She's just a VP who is still young in her late teens and need more time to grow into a nice and fine lady. She has been introducing me to online sprees too;D Thanks to her!

& guess what? I added her on my msn! haha. So that's to say I won't be posting up any links on my msn nick regarding my blog in case she sees those BVP & VP entries. Shhhsssshhhhh!

***

To end off this entry, just some pictures from last week's dinner at Manhattan:)

Grilled fish and Veggies

Fish and Chips

Me!
With my all tied up hair for SK-II counter image:)

That's all for now! Going off for more shopping and collecting my mum's skincare products at OGPP :)

Won't be updating any sooner as this weekend I'm off to Muar to attend BB's maternal uncle's wedding! *exciting* Advanced TGIF!

Weekend Date

15.09.07 Saturday.... Swan Lake On Ice

After months of anticipation, we finally get to watch this ice skating performance at the Esplanade! ;D

Needless to say, the performance is simply awesome! Even more eye dazzling than Disney on Ice as these are really world champion skaters who excel in beautiful skating figures and moves.

A splendid 3 hours performance kept all of us captivated throughout the show and together with those beautiful pieces from Tchaikovsky, it's such a phenomenon show! :)

Both BB and I were just so delighted over the fact that this is the first time we managed to get really good seats from Cat 1 tickets and we had a totally unblocked and center view to the stage *happy*

Furthermore, we had children sitting in the row in front of us and thus the view was clearer than ever;D We were so much more happier with these seats than those for Phantom of the Opera since the view is really center, plus we had much more leg space and since we are right in the middle, no one need to walk pass our seats too!

So if you need any advise on choosing seats at the Esplanade theaters in the future, can ask me! :D

After the wonderful matinée show, we had our dinner at Waraku and also a mini shopping trip around Marina Square. BB finally found a nice watch for his dad and I think the name of the watch is just so cool! haha. Btw, it's called 'Seiko No.5', a timeless classic watch which looks really men and is suitable for a wide range of ages.

Since the night was still v v young, BB decided that we should get a drink from Pacific Coffee since both of us were really thirsty. We were so lucky that a couple left shortly after our arrival and thus freeing up a sofa seats which we can occupy and the cafe has a really nice peaceful ambiance that evening.

The weekend has been such a splendid one, with a nice show, 2 nice dinners (Manhattan Fish Market & Waraku), 1 nice chilled out and also a wish fulfilled.

Thanks honey:) Your companionship is so dear to me.

16.09.07 Sunday... Family Day

Finally (yet another finally), it's a stay home day!

The night before was a drama one after BB sent me home.. I had a skin allergy outbreak from using SK-II products! My forehead developed many many small bums but lucky they aren't itchy and I've got my fringe to hide them... sigh* got to wait for a few days for them to recede. Fortunately, the rest of the bums around my cheeks areas have gone away:)

No more Piteria for me!

Weird, seems like I'm not suited to those expensive products since I always develop allergies to them:P This is the second product next to Shu Uemura's widely acclaimed Oil Cleanser which I also developed allergies to.

Anyway, I was so happy to be able to buy working clothes from Sense and Iora at Lot 1 during a random shopping/ marketing trip with my mum:) Preparing to stock up all those clothes for work liao.. hee;D

So happy, Lihiu also told me that the goods from Japan has arrived! Yeah.. can try out the lip gloss and lip bum soon!

Then, I also finally get to see nephew GuanXi after a month of busy weekends. He's walking very steady now and can tell you he wants 'mum mum' aka food and also doing a hand kiss for all of us *kawaii* ;D Except for being a bit noisy at times when he gets impatient and screams, he's still a cute boy after all.

That's my little weekend date;D

Going for work at SK-II now:) Stay tune for more interesting updates!

More on VP & BVP

14.09.07... SK-II More More!

As promised.... I've got to continue more on the facts of VP & BVP.

Keke, every girl in the world is a VP to some degree, say a scale of 10?

On a scale of 1 are those who thinks they don't look good and thus they can't be bothered to make themselves look good. On the scale of 10 are those we go under the knife and do all sorts of things that are dangerously detrimental to health at the cost of beauty.

I would rate myself 6.

While all women are cautious of how they look, the main difference between VP & BVP is that the latter is bimbotic!

Bim·bo
A woman regarded as lacking intelligence or as having an exaggerated interest in her sexual appeal.

I hardly want label anyone as bimbo as it is quite offensive but I really have my reasons for using this term as it only seems appropriate on her.

Apart from all those coats of mascara, she really gets on my nerves on things like recording her name on the memo sheet when the customer actually approached me and I did the closing of the $1K deal. Hello?! Commission is on shared basis? *disgusting*

Then, she even asked me why I looked totally sian... erm?! Obviously, the way she wrote her name on the memo and assumed she close the deal and her arrogant look makes me feel oh-so-sian right? haha:P Then what's worst, being constantly irritated by her feels like the time never moves.

And by the way, do I even need to tell her that those customers we are handling are unlike those tiger beer uncles? -_-***

Well, we do receive a lot of customers who are those beer uncle's China mistresses:P That also account for why I'm able to sell $1K of LXP range products with out any hassle since she just came to the counter and make her regular purchases.

Anyways...
To keep me interested and not giving her that 'straight look'... she tried to come up with topics.

She started telling me that her friend complimented her singing four days after they went to ktv which I think is totally senseless and out of the blue. Unless she wants to show off that some one actually complimented her, she wouldn't have said that especially when it's like after 4 days that her friend sms her which make it seems like she has left such a great impact on her friend and thus proving she can sing really really well.

*more irritated than ever*

Just want to tell her, I don't need to know lah!

Also, she keep wanting people like my colleagues to compliment on her skin as she goes so gaga over them. My 28 years old colleague jokingly 'suan' her for being very easy to be cheated by guys who compliment her that she's pretty but she apparently didn't catch it as she is so self-absorbed in the small compliment of having clear skin after a layer of foundation:P

Btw, if she is not having a clear skin at 19 years old then v jialat as women only starts aging at 22!

And one more last thing, as a VP myself, I always like to know other women's beauty tricks and techniques of putting on makeup. Since I had nothing better to do and she keep complaining that she has super dry skin so I asked her what kind of skincare products she is using and also what kind of super mascara that can make those lashes look so fake.

So, she shared with me all sorts of stuff from those online spree shopping to her wonderful Mabelline mascara.

It seems that she thinks I need a lot of advises and she becomes the 美容大王 to supply me with all those information which I don't think are advisable to follow:P

So much on BVP, I think I'm so not nice to give her a name! I must learn to like her!!!;D

Those BC aka beauty consultants at the counter I'm working at are so nice and fun loving.. hee. It has been a nice 2 days working with them! They are so unlike those BC at other counters who are so demure and nice and I think they are so cool;)

Hope it'll be fun the next 3 days and also to see if I'm able to keep my cool working with her. Need to memorise the price list and also product usage.. Gambatte!

About VP & BVP

BVP VS. VP

13-14.09.07... Something on Vanity.

Today, I'm going to introduce two new acronyms which I've come up with yesterday;D

BVP: Bimbo-tic Vain Pot
VP:
Vain Pot

So much on the introduction of these self-invented new terms, there must to some reasons why I had to come up with it anyway, right?

The story goes like this.....

At the SKII counter I'm stationed at, there is also another 19 years old girl who will join me for this 6days assignment. For the first day at training, we sat quite far apart and I thought she looks quite pretty.

Only after working 2 days with her, she's really getting on my nerves, really really and I meant it. Apart from one other guy who always stepped on my tail (and I guess many others), she's the next one in my condemn list.

I don't even feel like talking to her as it is basically those kind of 'no frequency' communication which she does most of the talking while I just shut my ears and filter all her $%#$%#%$ out.

Firstly, she is such a super VP at such a young age of 19.

The way she put on 30 coats of mascara really pissed me off cause it looks oh-so-horrible and wayang as she looks like putting on fake lashes. I can't imagine anyone re-coating her mascara times and again. This is my first time seeing it and perhaps the only person who also does that is XiaXue? But I remember that she mentioned in her blog that she stick fake eyelashes anyway.

What's most ridiculous is that upon my 'suan-ness' on her for the lashes being very 'fake', she was darn happy and delightful about my comment ... -_-||| Apparently, she has been wanting to coat her lashes to the effect of them looking like real fakes.

*Unbelievable*

Yesterday, she was trying so hard to put on such thick makeup to look like those typical DFS cosmetics counter girls that I think her face feels like cracking apart. Her makeup feels like a piece of mask. And please put on some blusher and lipstick when coating a thick layer of foundation lah... so basic also don't know meh? As least won't look so washed out in the bright counter lights.

Then, she got so super GAGA over the fact that she would be rostered to work on Sunday and thus would be getting a day more of basic pay and commissions. And she claims that she can buy lots of things with the money (i supposed is MASCARAssssss?).

More importantly....

I GOT A GUT FEELING THAT SHE WANTS TO MAKE ME FEEL JEALOUS OF HER!

Whahahahahaha... too bad. I'M NOT A LEAST BIT JEALOUS. Cause, that makeup of her's is gonna crack!:P

So she's has now rose to a higher rank from being a VP to a BVP!:)

I've to admit I'm a vain pot myself and I want to look pretty but looking naturally beauty is what I go for. Concealing all those CMI parts and leave the rest to its natural look;D

Now, I start to realised the vast difference between 18 & 22 years old. I'm glad I'm 22!

Most encounters to be updates as NOW I've gtg for SWAN LAKE ON ICE!!!!

Bitter Sweet

"Just like Tiramisu..."
Expect the most when you least expect it.

12.09.07 Wedneday... A Bitter Sweet Day.

An important day that marks the official end to my self-declared infinite holidays.

*Announcement* My time has come after 4.5 months of break:)

What's my feeling?
Bitter sweet I guess, just like Tiramisu.

The past few trips to Novena have been fruitful and in the near future, I will frequent there on daily basis.

While it is a little far, I should be grateful that I will be able to get a seat on the mrt despite the usual morning rush hours and also to catch up some lost sleep:P Gladly, the little walk to office has quite a nice scenery too and I think it's a good way to kick start the morning.

My new journey will commence on the Children's Day:) how sweet...

Somehow, looking back at these months... Time just flew. I did so many things which I can hardly remember and I didn't get bored over the infinite holiday! *chuckles* But, it certainly feels very dreadful posting endless of online job applications which receive clueless replies.

I'm just so glad that this new journey has offered me more than I have expected and it is a great learning opportunity which I hope will be able to let me grow and learn more as a professional.

For the rest of the 2.5 weeks of holidays, I shall enjoy myself to the fullest, do tonnes of shopping and also mentally prepare myself for the entire new journey to the colorful real world:)

Just a tinge of ambivalence.

The Secret Key to...

SK-II
"The Secret Key 2 Crystal Clear Skin"

11.09.07... Mystery Unveils

If you haven't know by now, my 6 days assignment is actually working with SKII! How exciting!;D

My interest in skincare and makeup is getting more gaga than ever:P I was wondering for the whole of today if I should start to self-study all about skin and skincare. keke...

Just want to learn more so that next time I can turn into a part-time beauty consultant to all you girls out there and off course for myself.. haha! What ever problem can come to me for consultation and I can be the 美容大王! hee *day dreaming*

I was super happy when my friendly agents from Adecco actually ring me up and offer this job as I have always wanted to try to be a counter girl for the fun of it.

I crossed my fingers that they would want me since I don't have any sales experience and I was really overjoyed when I got selected for the assignment!;D

So today marked the start of a 6 days assignment which spreads over these two weeks and comprises of 3 days training and 3 days work.

Just over 6 hours today, we learned all the product range in the brand and got to know what exactly is the oh-so-famous ingredient aka Pitera which is a patented by SKII. For your information, it is the byproduct of the fermentation process of a special type of yeast which has shown miracle effects to human skin.

Also, we had a grooming session which essentially is to help all of us to duplicate the standard SKII counter girl's look. Surprising, I did the least touch-up to my original makeup and yet I was voted to be the most successful makeover among all other girls and I got a big prize:P

Moral of the story is 'Less is More'.

Btw, the prize comprise of:

1 sheet of facial treatment mask
1 sheet of signs eye mask,
1 small sample size facial treatment cleanser,
1 small sample size facial treatment cleansing oil,
1 small sample size advanced signs treatment.

And I want to tell you, the 2 sheets of masks already cost $30!!! 赚到了! hohoho.

Been so busy lately that I didn't do mask so must get the routine started. But anyway I think during 大姨妈, the metabolism turns most sluggish and starts to prepare itself for a new 28days cycle. So during that time of the month just let the skin rest aka go on a skin diet i.e. using only the basics like cleanse, tone & moisturize, since it can not do much work too:)

There is also a long list of product range which I need to memorize by this Thursday when we will proceed to counter training. Gambatte!! ;D

Tomorrow also marks another important date and I pray everything goes well too ;D

And....

Girls, do start taking care of your skin!
The women's skin starts aging with double two and it's process with no return!

Monday Rest

Had a pretty tiring and uphill week.
Thus, Monday is a recovery day and I slept through the whole day.

I really slept a whole day.
Unbelievable.

Guess this is one of the last few times I can enjoy more of this kind of 'sinful treat'.

Been dealing with a lot of skin related things lately and traveling to Novena like nobody business but I am a happy with all these encounters.

Meanwhile, there are also several $$$ plans which includes... Whether I should...

Sign up for a baking course at Shermay's Cooking School?
Buy the green tourmaline?

Anyway Anyhow,

Tomorrow, I'll be on a new 6 days assignment before I go into something more concrete. Hopefully it will be fun and interesting!

"QiQi, Sammi & Karen...!" Here I come;D

Wishing me Luck!

Sunday @ National Museum

09.09.07 Sunday... National Museum with old friends.

Haven't been meeting up with Linnet and the rest since yun & hong birthday celebration at Essential Brew on 08.08 so this week, we thought of meeting up to go explore the little red dot:)

Have been telling net on the Aura Pictures I have taken in Aug and think it's so fun and wanted to get her to try that out to see if it is accurate for her. Also, I can take the chance to visit the expensive Green Tourmaline which I have been thinking about all these time at the same shop.

Hence on Sunday outing, we planned to visit the Crystal shop at Fu Lu Shou building and the National Museum. Chien was also free that day and we had a threesome outing on a nice leisure Sunday!

The Aura Picture for the both of them turned out to be quite accurate I guess, for the part on their individual character.

And off course, I got to see the exact Green Tourmaline again in the display shelf. The Green Tourmaline has a nice shade of green which looks pretty and probably will bring me more positive energy. If the next time I visit it again and it is still there, I would most likely buy it!

After the aura picture, we grabbed some lunch from Bugis junction and we encountered something quite absurd and funny.

Net decided to buy a cup of warm soya milk from Jolibean while Chien and I looked on and finally decided to get the soya blend in honeydew and banana flavors. While Net was paying the bill, the auntie asked us if the two of us were friends which I replied yes and added that we are paying separately.

After net got her drink and walked off to find more takeaway food, the auntie attended to me to pay the bill. When returning me the change, she told me to get my money back from Chien as his bill was counted into mine, while mine was counted into net's -_-|||

So that's to say, net got back less change but she didn't take notice of it and the auntie just simply assume that me and chien are friends.

OMG!?!? What if Chien was just another customer behind?:P

Anyway, we were happy that we got our drinks and breads from Crystal Jade bakery before heading down to the National Museum. While Bugis and Orchard aren't that far, we had to take 2 buses which are of fairly short trips to get to the National Museum.

Before visiting the museum, we decided to sit down at those benches in the SMU campus which is located next to our destination for a short takeaway lunch. Apparently, there's some weekend event organised by the museum and thus the whole place was quite vibrant except that there wasn't much cars on the Orchard road stretch.

Over lunch, net shown me Chien's album of our secondary school time pictures and I had a really good laugh!;D

Both Chien and Yun seem to have undergone extreme makeover and it was a jaw dropping moment seeing those old pictures which dated back to 8 years ago. It's a good thing we have all evolved from ugly ducklings to beautiful swans over the years;D

I was telling BB that Chien and I are like the movie 瘦身男女 starring Andy Lau and Sammi Cheung.

It's still so funny to think of how we are rumored to be 'together' since we are sitting together in class and we have the same 'fat genes' in us. Then, I really hated to be associated with him and I really meant HATE. Haha! (sorry chien, now you know my deepest darkest secret! haha)

U know, going for those stupid TAF club in school was my most dreadful days as it make you feel so condemned by the rest of the population who are so called 'healthy' while you are you are labelled as FAT / Obese. It did affect my confidence and I really hate myself for being OBESE.

For your information, my heaviest day reached a peak of 72kg. I remember I feel so ugly that I hardly take any pictures back then and I hate to be laughed at for being fat in class and it really hurts being called those fat associated nick names.

So dear net, if you are reading this, please don't post my super cannot make it pictures to commemorate our ten years friendship, those beyond sec 2 are fine though.. hee;D

Those were the super carefree days in secondary school and it's going to be ten years soon. Time always flies.

After a reminisce of those good old days over lunch, we finally got into the museum grounds. Net and I got a excited over the nice glass patch against the backdrop of the pretty colonial museum and Chien was so nice to take help us take a picture under the blazing sun. In return we offered tissue to wipe away his sweat.

It was such a good spot to sit down to rest and stone that the three of us sat there for the next half an hour with occasional chats while looking at the rest of the people at the mini flea market and passerby.

It was so nice there that we had problem getting off our butts from the soft grass patch but it was time to move on.

Other random pictures in our little exploration in the Museum:

We were lucky that there were several events happening in the museum on a lazy Sunday and it was a fun day hanging out with friends to explore some less frequent places in the red dot of ours.

Thanks for your wonderful companionship my friends! *Hugz* Do jio me more often! haha

That marks our litte Happy Lazy Day:)

Celebration Continues

A Beautiful Weekend

Saturday 08.09.07.... Celebration.

Finally, after so long, found some time to go IMH to visit old friends.

While there isn't a need to clarify my long absence from the volunteering group, my sudden present was not because of the supposed birthday celebration. Just happened that it's a week of 'no work and no event' so I kept it free for a day of volunteering.

Contrary to a wide misconceptions of mental patients, these old friends in the ward are really old friends. They remember you despite your long absence, they recall what is happening to you and some even asked if I have started working. It is a nice experience to be just being with them and asking them how they have been lately etc. like how you would be when you meet up with some old friends.

This week has been a really tiring one, suffered from both mental and physical fatigue. Half the time I was just merely stoning and while the other half was playing dum with 2 residents. I have to admit I'm still really bad in it and so much so that Donald and Zhi Wei were laughing at me for making some silly moves and M got really bored just after 2 rounds (and chase me away) since I was of not any challenge to him.

There after, there was celebration at Marina Square and the star was Alan whom birthday falls on Saturday while I was the co-star who also joined in the celebration.

Dearest Elaine knew that I wanted to invest in a Crop-A-Dile for scrapbooking however, I needed time to contemplate since it is rather expensive and I wasn't sure if I would stay in this new hobby for long. My interest with this tool is just mainly due my fondness for tags and the metal rims around those punched holes.

I was overjoyed when I receive this year prezzie from the volunteers which is the Crop-A-Dile!

Now, I can make nice tags and cards! So happy to get this tool for birthday;D Special thanks to all who contributed to the gift and also Elaine who knew I wanted this and initiated the prezzie.

Also, there's nice innovative handmade card by Elaine and signed by many many volunteers.

So sweet! Thanks everyone especially Elaine *hugz*

At StarBucks cafe, we also cut a cake and had a mini celebration (more pictures to be uploaded).

Yes, if you are wondering, BB and I wore the same tee which has a guy and girl version from this brand Litmus. Have spotted this brand months ago in the Central Mall and was attracted to all the nice colors of the boxers and tees in the shop. It was having a clearance sales earlier in the week at the branch in Novena Square. Thus, I bought a pair of tees from the shop since they are so cheap and I have been eying it since very long ago:P

Left much earlier as I was suffering from fatigue and plus, we needed a little time to catch up with each other since it was the only time we are meeting in the week:)

That marks Saturday, another nice heart warming celebration.
