Sunday @ National Museum
09.09.07 Sunday... National Museum with old friends.
Haven't been meeting up with Linnet and the rest since yun & hong birthday celebration at Essential Brew on 08.08 so this week, we thought of meeting up to go explore the little red dot:)
Have been telling net on the Aura Pictures I have taken in Aug and think it's so fun and wanted to get her to try that out to see if it is accurate for her. Also, I can take the chance to visit the expensive Green Tourmaline which I have been thinking about all these time at the same shop.
Hence on Sunday outing, we planned to visit the Crystal shop at Fu Lu Shou building and the National Museum. Chien was also free that day and we had a threesome outing on a nice leisure Sunday!
The Aura Picture for the both of them turned out to be quite accurate I guess, for the part on their individual character.
And off course, I got to see the exact Green Tourmaline again in the display shelf. The Green Tourmaline has a nice shade of green which looks pretty and probably will bring me more positive energy. If the next time I visit it again and it is still there, I would most likely buy it!

After the aura picture, we grabbed some lunch from Bugis junction and we encountered something quite absurd and funny.
Net decided to buy a cup of warm soya milk from Jolibean while Chien and I looked on and finally decided to get the soya blend in honeydew and banana flavors. While Net was paying the bill, the auntie asked us if the two of us were friends which I replied yes and added that we are paying separately.
After net got her drink and walked off to find more takeaway food, the auntie attended to me to pay the bill. When returning me the change, she told me to get my money back from Chien as his bill was counted into mine, while mine was counted into net's -_-|||
So that's to say, net got back less change but she didn't take notice of it and the auntie just simply assume that me and chien are friends.
OMG!?!? What if Chien was just another customer behind?:P
Anyway, we were happy that we got our drinks and breads from Crystal Jade bakery before heading down to the National Museum. While Bugis and Orchard aren't that far, we had to take 2 buses which are of fairly short trips to get to the National Museum.
Before visiting the museum, we decided to sit down at those benches in the SMU campus which is located next to our destination for a short takeaway lunch. Apparently, there's some weekend event organised by the museum and thus the whole place was quite vibrant except that there wasn't much cars on the Orchard road stretch.
Over lunch, net shown me Chien's album of our secondary school time pictures and I had a really good laugh!;D
Both Chien and Yun seem to have undergone extreme makeover and it was a jaw dropping moment seeing those old pictures which dated back to 8 years ago. It's a good thing we have all evolved from ugly ducklings to beautiful swans over the years;D
I was telling BB that Chien and I are like the movie 瘦身男女 starring Andy Lau and Sammi Cheung.
It's still so funny to think of how we are rumored to be 'together' since we are sitting together in class and we have the same 'fat genes' in us. Then, I really hated to be associated with him and I really meant HATE. Haha! (sorry chien, now you know my deepest darkest secret! haha)

U know, going for those stupid TAF club in school was my most dreadful days as it make you feel so condemned by the rest of the population who are so called 'healthy' while you are you are labelled as FAT / Obese. It did affect my confidence and I really hate myself for being OBESE.
For your information, my heaviest day reached a peak of 72kg. I remember I feel so ugly that I hardly take any pictures back then and I hate to be laughed at for being fat in class and it really hurts being called those fat associated nick names.

So dear net, if you are reading this, please don't post my super cannot make it pictures to commemorate our ten years friendship, those beyond sec 2 are fine though.. hee;D
Those were the super carefree days in secondary school and it's going to be ten years soon. Time always flies.
After a reminisce of those good old days over lunch, we finally got into the museum grounds. Net and I got a excited over the nice glass patch against the backdrop of the pretty colonial museum and Chien was so nice to take help us take a picture under the blazing sun. In return we offered tissue to wipe away his sweat.
It was such a good spot to sit down to rest and stone that the three of us sat there for the next half an hour with occasional chats while looking at the rest of the people at the mini flea market and passerby.
It was so nice there that we had problem getting off our butts from the soft grass patch but it was time to move on.

Other random pictures in our little exploration in the Museum:
We were lucky that there were several events happening in the museum on a lazy Sunday and it was a fun day hanging out with friends to explore some less frequent places in the red dot of ours.
Thanks for your wonderful companionship my friends! *Hugz* Do jio me more often! haha
That marks our litte Happy Lazy Day:)
