When one is working , time gets limited. Thus, it's important to take time out to nurture the love seed with your loved ones:)
After so long, button bear and I finally spent a weekday together under the bright daylight! The plan: A Lazy Day Out
After having read so much on
Melvados Café, The Original Brownie café, I suggested making a trip there for a nice afternoon tea and BB readily agreed to it;D
The first time I knew about this cafe is through a Channel 8 show called 'Next Stop Go Where' hosted by Desmond Koh & Jamie Teo. Just last week, I saw it again on a blog entry and the review seemed not bad. This prompted me to go there ASAP:P
The place is cosy, nice and quiet thus making it a great chilled out spot. When we reach there at 4pm, the cafe is virtually empty with the exception of a middle age lady sitting at a corner slurping her tea and jotting down pages of notes. For the next hour or so, it remained like this and we were the only customers that late afternoon.
Initially, it was meant to be tea but we decided to just have our dinner there since we are going for Cashback at 6.55pm. From the menu, we picked those that were labeled with a symbol of chef's recommendation and we finally settled on Tangy Chicken, Chicken Curry Bowl & Triple Chocolate Brownie.
While anticipating the food, probably both of us were wondering if the food were nice since it seemed so pathetically empty. Our doubts were dispelled soon after they served us our mains.
So Button Bear took the first step to savor the dish -smell it! ~ NICE.
(behind: the middle aged lady I mentioned earlier)

I'm not a foodie so i shan't attempt to describe how good the taste of the food were. But it's definitely a satisfying meal for both of us -good food & nice ambience!;D
