The weekend has been really incredible! I was so busy buzzing around places & procrastinated on blogging;D
First, it was the last of Colgate Roadshow which was over at Bukit Panjang Plaza. I was pretty lucky since it's really near my place and there wasn't a lot of crowd except on Saturday morning which apparently I think was the advertisements which attracted so much people.
It's a pity that I didn't get to see the 1-2 sec of advert with me being featured among my colleagues with the not so famous artist :P
The food selection at BPP is great! On Friday, we were so super free that we went for break in pairs and even queue for Missy Donuts;D Despite that, I still have my qualms....
Apart from being a really cannot make it shopping mall, which has virtually nothing to shop, BPP is also living
GREENHOUSE (hell to people like me)!
OMG! it's so super the hot when the sun pierce through the glass roof and shine brightly on the whole roadshow area. I had to strategically positioned myself to refrain from being overly exposed to the sunlight especially my cheekbone area which have developed pigmentations since last year.
I was so tempted to just take out my UV protected umbrella and start singing Rihana's Umbrella song since I had lots of practice of it especially the chorus part which goes like "under my umbrella, ella, ella, a, A, a, A, aA...."
But unfortunately, I was promoting Colgate Sensitive toothpaste & toothbrush and not Umbrella:P
Still can't believe why these architects are so
!@#@!#@#$% to build a glass roof at a mall.
They probably need some geographers to educate them on
GREENHOUSE EFFECT and also dermatologists to tell them that UV rays are bad for Asian women who are prone to producing excessive melanin when exposed to excessive sunlight.
Saturday was
so HOT and I got really EMO with the bad weather and insufficient sleep the night before.
On the brighter side, Saturday afternoon
Vivocity Outing with Button Bear was really a indulgence and like always, he managed to pull me out of my emo ^.^
The initial idea was to go and redeem our
GV Gold Class ticket voucher for movie passes to Bourne Ultimatum over the weekend but it was fully booked so we just settled for some shopping and tea + dinner @ Vivo :P
Being so disappointed with GV, BB & I decided to get a bite from
Secret Recipe!
In Malaysia, Secret Recipe's cake are super duper unbelievable
CHEAP! My sis and I gotten 2 big slices of cakes for just S$4.50 during our KL trip in June. Here, $4.50 will only land us 1 slice of cake. And if you have ever seen their super thick slices of cakes, it taste heavenly and it only cost S$30 for a huge 2.2kg cake!!! as compared to Singapore where you have to pay $55 for a whole cake.
I have been telling BB so much on their
Blueberry cheesecake since I came back from KL but we had yet to try it once here. So this time, we finally decided to satisfy our crave for their nice cheesecake with a cup of cappuccino;D
*yummy yummy!* We were so eager to savor the cake that I didn't even take any photos of it:P We probably gorged down the cake in 10mins? hee.. it's really nice!
Then, we randomly shopped around Vivo with the main intention to buy my eye cream which has run dry earlier in the week;D
On our way, we dropped by
Toy'R'Us to check out on those coin slots machines and to our delight, there's some new collection of toys collectibles! So we changed $20 into 1 dollar coins & started our crazy turning!
Here's my catch!
(From left): Zipper pouch, Slipper key chain & Draw string pouch!
These are really kawaii!!! There is always lots of anticipation and anxiety as to what we will get after slotting coins into these machines. But deciding on which machines to part with our coins would have killed quite a bit of brain cells since we might not get what we really wanted:)
After satisfying yet another crave/craze of ours, we decided to head towards CK Tangs to check out those beauty counters for eye cream. But before long, we landed in
Charles & Keith to check out the pair of stunning ballet flats which caught our attention when we passed by the display window.
Apparently, C&K was having sale and the whole shop literally turned into a women's war zone. There were flying shoes and endless stack of boxes lying around corners of the shop, simply chaotic. Those sales assistants are really cool, they managed to handle so much orders and bring out all the shoes without mistakes.
Finally, I managed to get the pair of ballet flats and it's so pretty!;D
Have been condemning C&K for a very long while and I think my last pair of shoes from them were more than one and a half years ago. The particular pair of shoes was those Birkenstock alike sandals which gave me so much painful blisters! I heartlessly chucked them after wearing less than 5 times as it's simply a KILLER!
So this time, I'm really happy to be able to find a nice pair of flats from them after many many months of search for a pair of flats:)
I'm Super Satisfied! Nice tea, good catch & pretty shoes x)
*grinning very happily*
